Shaba National Reserve is located in Northern Kenya, Isiolo County, adjacent to Buffalo Springs National Reserve and Samburu National Reserve. Combined three, forms a very popular attractions for visitors. The Reserve is popularly known as the Samburu Ecosystem, sustain free ranging wildlife species bothwithin the three reserves as well as far into community lands. Shaba National Reserve is a Natural home to Rare Big-five species mostly known as Northern species which are rarely endemic in the area, i.e.Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Somali ostrich and the gerenuk. Shaba is also the home for the highly endangered Williamson’s lark.
